Donald Gerken, DC, DACCP, CSTD

is a chiropractor who specializes in family practice. After completing his doctorate in chiropractic, he went back to school for additional training in pediatrics, pregnancy, CranioSacral Therapy and nutrition. He is the only Chiropractor in south San Diego certified in family practice by the ICPA (International Chiropractic Association of Pediatrics) at the diplomat level. He is also the only chiropractor in south San Diego that is certified diplomat in CranioSacral Therapy by the Upledger Institute.

Dr. Gerken loves helping women throughout pregnancy. His focus isn’t strictly pain relief, but improving the overall function of the pelvis and soft tissue structures surrounding the uterus. This optimizes labor and delivery. Once the baby has arrived, Dr. Gerken focuses on helping mothers to regain their health and strength while breastfeeding. He is happy to work hand-in-hand with your Doula or Midwife.

Diane Gerken, DC, CST

specializes in extremities and high force injures as well as pain management. She helps remove internal scar tissue to maximize range of motion and function. Dr. Diane is a mother of three grown boys, and available by appointment. She is certified in Webster Technique with additional classes in nutrition, sports medicine and CST.

In her spare time, Dr. Diane enjoys volleyball, pickleball, painting, guacamole and chocolate. Due to her active lifestyle, she's experienced many of the injuries she treats herself and can relate to parenting challenges, life changes and managing a busy household. Diane enjoys speaking with groups about health, fitness and meeting lifelong goals.

Dennis O'Brien, DC

is a San Diego native and has been practicing for over 20 years making a difference in people's lives, treating athletes and their families. He served as the team doctor for Eastlake High School and Olympian High School. Dr. O'Brien helped several Olympic athletes for track and field and archery.  He enjoyed serving as the team doctor under the Friday Night Lights for our local high schools ELHS & OHS, while providing care to the baseball and water polo teams. He is familiar with all sports and is currently working with Calvary Christian Academy. When he is away from the office he enjoys staying healthy by cycling in the San Diego sunshine, working out, bodysurfing at our local beaches and camping to unplug and enjoy life with his family. He is passionate about helping others live an active and healthy life.

Elizabeth Becker, CMT

has a thriving passion in helping people reach their health and healing goals. Using a holistic approach to her work, Elizabeth tailors her massage to meet each patient's needs and provides the right combination of techniques no matter where they are in their wellness journey.

Elizabeth is experienced in deep tissue, Tui Na, Thai massage, lymphatic drainage, pregnancy massage and circulatory therapy. She is also certified in cupping and hot rock massage. Elizabeth has over 10 years in experience working with patients who have injuries, are post-surgery or are in the exciting stages of pregnancy.

Chevy Maultsby, CMT

is a licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Holistic Health Practitioner, Chevy is passionate about creating a safe space for healing and release. Mother to two boys and Navy veteran, she has a loving spirit and great intuition.

Shevette, who goes by Chevy, loves massage and working with people.  She has an innate sense of just how much pressure to apply and which muscles most need attention.  Chevy is experienced in deep tissue, circulatory and pregnancy massage and uses a combination of her many techniques to meet her patients’ needs.  Your health and wellness goals are her upmost priority.

Chevy is an exercise specialist and is familiar with injuries, strains and sprains. She has been working on patients for over 10 years and loves helping patients not only recover from injuries but also regain their function and vitality.

JeanMarie Arce, Office Manager, Patient Trafficking Guru, Situational Expert

JeanMarie moved to Chula Vista after serving all over the world in our military as a administrative section leader. She now uses those precision skills to help our office function with accuracy and efficiency. She has been working for Gerken Family Chiropractic for over 7 years and has called Chula Vista home for over 18 years.   Her favorite thing about working at Gerken Family Chiropractic is helping people stay on top of their care and reach their wellness goals.

JeanMarie is active in our local Masons and a mother of one grown boy and one active, high school boy.  When not at work you can find JeanMarie cooking with passion, taking a relaxing walk or playing with puppies.

Jordan Dooney, Receptionist, Guru in Training

New to our team, Jordan grew up as a Navy brat moving all over the United States until she found her home in Chula Vista 8 years ago. Her favorite thing about working at Gerken Family Chiropractic is the patient interactions and helping people. She began her training in August 2022 and is quickly becoming a scheduling master. Jordan is working on her EMT certification and hopes to someday be a paramedic.

When Jordan is not at work, she loves playing volleyball, eating chimichangas and watching sunsets on the beach. She is active in her church and volunteers at the resource centering helping new moms get the supplies they need.

Just East of the 125 we are conveniently located off Harold Place. Exit the 125 using the Otay/Telegraph Canyon signs (go east towards the mountains).  Left on Lane, Right on Fenton, Left on Harold Place and look for us on the right hand side. We're the second driveway on the right.
